MONDAY

M - Many are the times in our lives that we go through the day,
O - Only to find someone went unnoticed or ignored along the way.
N - Not very often does one take the time to think how it may feel.
D - Does one really want to see themselves as in a mirror,
A - Actually think about what it may be like?
Y - You can make a difference if only in a smile, a prayer or a nod - they know you truly saw and noticed them; and then they really do feel they too make a difference in the world.

SUNDAY

S - Standing in awe of the work God does in lives;
U - Untold blessings through children eyes I see;
N - New appreciation as a young teen who recently lost a father,
D - Does not hesitate to praise God through song that calls God -
A - Awesome, beautiful, wonderful -
Y - Yes, I too stand in awe of God at work; may we all see God at work in the world and give Him praise.

These are our refugees except for one missing the day we took the picture. This is the van God provided to transport our refugee families. And as the CD was playing last Sunday in the van the thirteen year old who has been in the country a year March 28, whose dad died in Sept. 2006, whose English is limited said her favorite song was 'Standing in Awe of God' and wanted me to repeat it; as I listened to the words I was humbled at her appreciation and love for God even in all of the struggles she has faced in her short life; she loves God. God help those of us who have never had to flee for our lives, live in a refugee camp for years, move to a new country and speak no English, lose a parent, yet we refuse to give God a chance because the world does not treat us the way we think it should or God doess't do for us what we think he should.
God, today help me learn how to really appreciate what I have and to praise you for it. Amen

SATURDAY

S - Sometimes when one neglects making time for serenity,
A - Around the corner it comes and one must say 'yes.'
T - Try to take that time and listen to the music,
U - Unwinding all the tension that has built up,
R - Resting in the presence of the Spirit being refreshed.
D - Do take a moment from time to time and invite another on this journey,
A - Alot of people may not even be aware of the new life this will give;
Y - Yawn, stretch, yield, - ahhhhh - peace, rest, serenity within.

FRIDAY

F - For some Friday is the last of the work week,
R - Round the corner there are thoughts of family time and yard grooming.
I - Inner grooming should receive some attention too,
D - Do you willingly take those few hours one day and entertain the Spirit's presence within?
A - As with any part of the body or habit exercising it is a must;
Y - You are hereby challenged to exercise the senses of your inner spirit to the Spirit of God.

The dog in the picture is exercising his face and ears; it makes us smile. Can we too exercise our inner spirits so that we can make people smile? Have a great day, June
