A TRIBUTE TO MOTHER

M – Mother, you may not have been perfect,
Y – Yet you loved and taught each of us from your heart.

M – Many were the times we struggled to obey your words,
O – Often I am sure you wondered to yourself,
T – Thinking, “Will these children ever grow up?”
H – However, we have all reached adulthood,
E – Experienced successes, failures, and struggles along the way,
R – Remembering and knowing you as mother continued to pray.

I - In every situation of life you have
R – Remained faithful and true;
E – Even when life was sometimes a turbulent storm.
N – Never once did you complain about hard work or lack,
E – Ever appreciative, thankful, and able to make do one more
time.

Mother’s Day 2007

My mother is still alive at 85 and I wrote this for her to have while still with us. One of her favorite songs is Precious Lord, Take my Hand. I trust that you will enjoy this post. And tomorrow (maybe later tonight) I will post another Mother's Day writing I wrote this week, blessings to all mothers, june

A MOTHER'S LOVE

Love is a four lettered word
But oh the power it holds
As mother's nurture their children
From birth into life in this world.
It brings security to them,
Yet freedom to try out their wings,
Knowing their mother is beside them
Each and every day.

So children, trust in your mothers
As they give wisdom and love,
Workingeach day for your benefit -
Long hours with tasks never done.
And mothers, watch o'er your children
In tender compassionate love,
Knowing that one day all your love,
Will touch the world again.

THURSDAY

T - Today is another day and each one living is breathing;
H - How often do you think about your breath,
U - Usually we just take it for granted and go on our way.
R - Remind yourself today; each breath I take is a gift from God;
S - Simple yet very necessary and profound is every breath one takes.
D - Do take time to enjoy your breath today; smell the flowers;
A - And change your breathing pattern from shallow to deep;
Y - Yes, there will be refreshment and cleansing deep within; enjoy - breathe - relax and be at peace.
