A Jesus' Alien on Earth

 FOR MY STAR - AZRON

Enya - Stars And Midnight Blue

This week our youngest son turned 32; I am thankful for my hubby, the father of our son as well as the support through the years as we have been parents.

A STAR TO TREASURE

A star sparkles and twinkles up in the sky
Trying its best to give what light it has,
To help some poor, troubled soul
Know there is still a spark of hope.

A star has sparkled in our home
Trying his best to give encouragement and light for the way,
To help us through the struggles and the troubles
By helping us see there is still a ray of hope ahead.

A star is sparkling in your life somewhere,
Trying their best to be there for you as encouragement,
To help you through the darkened times
By making sure you see the light ahead for you.

To my star who gives me light here on earth. Thanks Ron!

Have a blessed day; I am off to a working retreat day - June

 CHOICES

This is the name of a street in the town of Carefree, Az. where we had breakfast on Monday. How does one make the right choices to be able to really live on Easy Street? Or does living or having your business on Easy Street make a difference?

CHOICES

Everyone who is born is born to a world of choices;
Choice is a gift given to all people by the Creator.
Sometimes choices are made for us;
We may not yet be able to make them,
Or another has better understanding and ability
So we opt for their suggestion.
Choices come each and every day,
Some are made without much thought
While others are pondered and weighed.
In the world around us today,
We find many who are at the mercy of others,
Facing cutbacks and layoffs,
And struggles with day to day existence for some.
One may wonder what the next day or even moment holds
And weigh decisions in that regard;
The important thing is to make a decision
Based upon the information and knowledge at the present moment
And then leave it in the hands of God.

Many of us are no doubt wondering what is going to happen next; there is tension, fear, worry, and/or doubt. May I suggest that we still live in a blessed country with relative peace and we still can make some choices even though they may not always be the ones we want to make. May you count the blessings that you do have today - even if you do not live on Easy Street. June

 COMPREHENDING - LISTENING OR HEARING

A mother with her young is a good example of comprehending what is heard. She recognizes the sound of her own offspring and knows the need by the kind of sound. She responds according to the need conveyed - sometimes on the run to the sound; sometimes walking away from beside her young; sometimes gently letting the young nurse or just stand beside her feeling her presence.

WHAT DO YOU HEAR?
Walking through the world -
Sounds bombard one's ears,
Sometimes loud and other times soft,
Sometimes pleasant and other times annoying,
Sometimes peaceful and other times violent,
Sometimes loving and other times angry,
Sometimes restful and other times unnerving,
Walking through the world.

Walking through the world -
What does one do with the sounds encountered?
Sometimes yells and other times reflects,
Sometimes cries and other times just is,
Sometimes laughs and other times just smiles,
Sometimes shouts for joy -
Sometimes screams in pain -
Sometimes takes it all in and ponders -
What is the true meaning of this sound I am hearing
Walking through the world?

Walking through the world
With listening, hearing ears and heart,
Comprehending what is being said and heard
Requires an openness of the spirit and mind
To what is really being heard.
Open up your ears and heart today to the sounds around you -
Hear - Listen - - -
Walking through the world.

Will it make a difference in what you hear or listen to today? And how you respond? June

 TINY EQUALS LARGE

This is a picture taken of the leaves and things in the Shenandoah River last fall. It gives a nice picture but alot of things gathering in the water at one place can actully cause impede the water flow causing flooding or river rerouting.

TINY EQUALS LARGE
A pebble seems oh so small
But many make a hill or even a mountain.
A leaf seems so small and insignificant
Yet many on a tree provide breeze and shade.
A flower petal seems rather small and plain
Yet as many unfold from a blossom beauty is born.
A grain of sand is hard to spot
Yet many make a beautiful beach.

A word spoken may seem trivial
Yet the power it holds is mighty.
A thought in one's mind can seem harmless
Yet it controls one's being.
A glance of a smile may seem insignificant
Yet hope given may encourage life.
An action may seem insignificant
Yet the outcome can change a life.

 ON THIS DAY

A PRAYER FOR TODAY

God, You have blessed this country with bounty of all kinds;
You have blessed us with the ability to have some say in the governing process;
You have blessed us with freedom to speak out our opinion;
You have blessed us greatly over the years.

You have urged us to pray or our leaders;
You have brought us to another day of great change;
You have brought us to new beginnings -
Leaving some things behind while embracing the new.

God, we ask You for wisdom for our new president;
We ask for protection over his life, wife and family;
We ask that all of our government leaders
Will seek to work together for the good of all people.

May Your presence O God be welcomed in the chambers of government;
May Your name be respected and honored;
May we as the people of this country
Truly seek You with our hearts and follow You as You have called to do.
Amen.
