 TUESDAY TECHNICALITIES

TUESDAY

T - Technicalities sometimes are bothersome in one's life;
U - Understanding why they are and how they are supposed to help
E - Exasperates one from time to time.
S - Solutions may be simple and yet not what one always thinks;
D - Dare one think 'outside of the box' and learn something new?
A - Ants on a flower to be picked for a bouquet are bothersome;
Y - Yet on a flower in nature's setting they bring beauty and intrigue. So like each one of us - sometimes we can be bothersome along the daily pathway yet in other ways one brings beauty and intrigue to the pathway of life. What will be your choice to day?

Have a wonderful day bringing beauty to the world in your space, June

 MONDAY MEDIATION

MONDAY

M - Maybe there are struggles you are facing and you feel so alone;
O - Overwhelmed and wondering why does this happen to me?
N - Never once have we been promised that life is fair but there is no
D - Doubt that justice will one day be served to all by a just God.
A - As we enjoy the beauty of fall in creation sometimes it will seem unfair too -
Y - You see; often the greatest beauty and most beautiful leaves are far beyond our reach except to enjoy with our eyes if we take the time to look.
Sometimes in our lives we need to take the time to look within and see that there really is some great and wonderful beauty hidden there. And then the challenge is - will I keep it hidden because I do not believe I have anything worthwhile to offer; or will I gently unpack it to share with the world around me believeing that I can really make a difference?

Blessings to all my special and wonderful friends!!!! June

 SOOTHING SUNDAY

SUNDAY

S - So how is it with you today?
U - Unsettled, uninteresting or blaise?
N - Notice - what is around you?
D - Do you hear that sound -
A - Ahhh....quiet; or maybe it is noise of one kind or another -
Y - You be the channel to blend it all into music with soothing harmony.

Yes, it is our responsibility as to what we do with the sounds around us - read the following email received and see if youdo not agree. It is a bit long but well worth the read.

Beware of Garbage Trucks by David J. Pollay
How often do you let other people's nonsense change your mood? Do you let a bad driver, rude waiter, or an insensitive employee ruin your day? Unless you're the Terminator, for an instant you're probably set back on your heels. However, the mark of a successful person is how quickly he/she can get back her focus on what's important.

Sixteen years ago I learned this lesson. I learned it in the back of a New York City taxi cab. Here's what happened.

I hopped in a taxi, and we took off for Grand Central Station. We were driving in the right lane when, all of a sudden, a black car jumped out of a parking space right in front of us. My taxi driver slammed on his breaks, skidded, and missed the other car's back end by just inches!

The driver of the other car, the guy who almost caused a big accident, whipped his head around and he started yelling bad words at us.

My taxi driver just smiled and waved at the guy. And I mean, he was friendly. So, I said, 'Why did you just do that? This guy almost ruined your car and sent us to the hospital!'

And this is when my taxi driver told me what I now call, 'The Law of the Garbage Truck.'

Many people are like garbage trucks. They run around full of garbage, full of frustration, full of anger, and full of disappointment. As their garbage piles up, they need a place to dump it. And if you let them, they'll dump it on you. When someone wants to dump on you, don't take it personally.

You just smile, wave, wish them well, and move on. You'll be happy you did.

So this was it: The 'Law of the Garbage Truck.' I started thinking, how often do I let Garbage Trucks run right over me? And how often do I take their garbage and spread it to other people: at work, at home, on the streets? It was that day I said, 'I'm not going to do it anymore.' I began to see garbage trucks. I see the load they're carrying. I see them coming to drop it off. And like my Taxi Driver, I don't make it a personal thing; I just smile, wave, wish them well, and I move on.

One of my favorite football players of all time, Walter Payton, did this every day on the football field. He would jump up as quickly as he hit the ground after being tackled. He never dwelled on a hit. Payton was ready to make the next play his best.

Good leaders know they have to be ready for their next meeting. Good parents know that they have to welcome their children home from school with hugs and kisses. Teachers and parents know that they have to be fully present, and at their best for the people they care about.

The bottom line is that successful people do not let Garbage Trucks take over their day. What about you? What would happen in your life, starting today, if you let more garbage trucks pass you by?

Here's my bet. You'll be happier.

So.. Love the people who treat you right. Forget about the ones who don't.

Believe that everything happens for a reason.

If you get a chance , TAKE IT!

If it changes your life , LET IT!

Nobody said it would be easy...
They just promised it would be worth it!

 SHINING ON SATURDAY

SHIINING ON SATURDAY

S – Sometimes the sun just seems to be a bit more brighter;
A – Attitudes seem just a bit more lighter;
T – Thoughts seem just a bit more sweeter;
U – Understanding others a bit more deeper.
R – Rally now, take a moment, look around you;
D – Do you not agree?
A – All it takes sometimes is an openness on one’s own part.
Y – You can make a difference; try it and you will see.

This song is a favorite of mine. And today it is my prayer that you will catch a bit of shine here and carry it with you wherever you go; in your home, in your neighborhood or on the stream. Be blessed, june

 FRIDAY FINDINGS

(This is so much one of my favorite pictures; think I may try to write a poem just for it) - not today though.

FRIDAY

F - Finally it is here - the beginning of what one calls 'weekend.'
R - Really one can only see a glimpse; with jagged edges even;
I - In one's mind the dreaming reaches to the horizon -
D - Dare one really approach it with eyes wide open, all senses aware?
A - Adventure awaits and even beckons at times -
Y - Yearnings and learnings abound; one must just take the time.

(Don't forget to smell the flowers)

Have a wonderful day - and look forward to the weekend with great anticipation. It will make others wonder what you have planned when maybe it is nothing more than enjoying each moment as a gift. June
