A Jesus' Alien on Earth

 TRANSITION

This is from beside the creek last Saturday - what a pleasant place to get in touch with one's inner spirit (at least for me; tomorrow I hope to post a couple of videos I took).

This morning's post was inspired by this quote in my reading/meditation this morning from Something More by Sarah Ban Breathnach: "When you were a child, you got report cards filled out by teachers to tell your parents how you were doing in school. It's difficult to make the transition from external judgment to internal acceptance, but it's a journey we all must take to reach our essential selves as adults."

TRANSITION
Try as I could it never seemed to last,
Accepting who I really was
And what my talents, abilities and dreams really were.

You see it all began as a child -
Pleasing one's parents to make them happy,
And then other adults as well as they entered my life.

You need to do this,
You need to do it this way,
You just need to put more effort into it.

Struggling, striving and pushing -
Trying to be who others said I was -
Till one day I realized - but that is not who I really am.

And so the journey began to change and accept the real me;
Although difficult many times -
A pursuit that I endeavored to work one day at a time.

Each day brings new awareness now,
As I see what the plan really was for my life,
And each day I rise with openness to how I can make a real difference in the world by being who I was created to be.

Have a wonderful day; may it be another day to get to know yourself a little better and really share yourself with the world! YOU DO MAKE A DIFFERENCE!!!! June

 PEACE - IN DARKNESS

This sign of peace graces my front door day and night; it is my prayer that no matter when one enters our home that peace they will find and carry with them as they leave.

PEACE - IN DARKNESS
Darkness holds unknown factors,
Fear grips one's heart and seeks to bind it
Often paralyzing movement, thoughts and action,
Darkness - a given yet - - -

Darkness yet the Spirit of God is present,
Holding out guidance and peace for one's heart
Paralyzing the fear within and setting one free,
Darkness - a given yet - -

Darkness - there is peace with God,
No matter how deep, cold and enveloping the darkness,
God's presence can hold one secure giving hope,
Darkness - a given yet - light will prevail!

This grew out of a tragedy in our city where two young adults and an infant were killed and a third young adult is critically injured (she lost her child and fiance). Through our son I connected with this girl's parents and while they are devastated to be sure I could here a sense of peace in the mother's voice - as she shared with me her spiritual connection with God. A semi run a red light causing the accident. Prayers for the family welcomed.

Have a peace filled day - remember even if you feel you are walking in a deep, dark time - God's Spirit is present. June

 STANDING STILL

AzRon standing beside the creek enjoying the rest of the moment -

STANDING STILL
How easy is it to stand still;
But we seem to be programed to run,
And if you do not believe me
Watch even a little child;
They take a few steps and find their feet
And within days the pace picks up speed.

Yet in this crazy world today,
We many times forget to take the time,
To stop -
To listen -
To hear -
To breathe -

So for this moment now,
Quiet your spirit,
Listen to your heart,
Hear the cry of those around you,
Breathe refreshing air,
And be blessed.

 MANY THANKS

Anniversary dinner was absolutely fabulous at Smokin' Harley's at Creekside. The wind welcomed us with many gusts and they said 'cool breezes' yet I felt they were Cold Breezes! And what lovely dinner guests graced the wall (here is one) while we enjoyed specially prepared salmon!!!

THE PRIVILEGE OF CELEBRATION
Have you ever stopped to ponder this thought:
Why is it I so seldom take a moment to celebrate -
Whether it is the sunrise, the sunset or the fresh air you breathe,
The gift of a child's life with their inquisitive nature and innocence,
The gift of a true friend, a blossoming flower and maybe even accepting an apology,
The gift of a bed whether a mattress, cot or just a blanket or two,
The gift of a drink of water, a meal or even a craved treat?
So often we go on through our days -
Complaining and grumbling and wanting things more
To our satisfaction, comfort and dreams,
Missing the blessings quietly a part of our everyday lives.
Take a moment or two or three today -
Savor, celebrate - and live life to its fullest!

FOR ONE MY ONE AND ONLY LOVE!!!!

Puppy Love - Celtic Thunder

No puppy love here in this house unless it is for the puppies we have - no we have a commitment of love for the whole life!

Young Love by Celtic Thunder

Yes, we were young 37 years ago but believed in honoring the commitment we made; through ups and downs, twists and turns, good times and times we rather not talk about - but praise God we knew where our source of sustenence was - in God. Thank you Ron for be patient through all of the days as I grew, changed and matured; and thank you for commiting even to the continued changes. What a Man!

MARRIAGE
Marriage is simply some words that are spoken it is true,
Yet commitment within the hearts should ring true,
Carrying on through the good things and not so good,
Bringing hope to each other and others as well.

Marriage was designed by God when He began the world,
Understanding it completely is difficult at the best of times,
Yet walking with God as friend to friend,
He gives the wisdom, endurance, forgiveness and love.

Marriage begins a journey that is unique to each couple,
Personality, culture, genetics and environment make unique ingredients,
Having open minds, open and willing hearts, forgiveness and love,
Will enable a couple to build a home and a haven of peace on earth.
