WEDNESDAY

W - While you are here today will you
E - Entertain for a moment a prayer for my friend.
D - Death seems not far away,
N - Not that it was expected to come today.
E - Everyone that helps carries a little piece -
S - Sustaining others who seem not to have the strength.
D - Day by day one walks the path before them,
A - And does not know what the end will bring.
Y - You all be blessed and know that the Spirit's presence is the sustaining power for us all.

Love to all - my friend's name is Mike; she had surgery earlier this week and came through fine but yesterday complications developed. Pray for her two daughters as well. Not sure when I will be back on the stream - June

TUESDAY

T - Time for a rest from the frenzy of the day;
U - Under the table or chair, a tree or an awning;
E - Exercise a bit of discipline for a moment of rest.
S - Sometimes one says there is no place or even time -
D - Do you see how the animals ignore all when rest is needed?
A - As the Creator took time to rest, He incorporated rest into our bodies -
Y - You will find refreshment and health invigorated with a bit of 'time out' for you!!!!

Have a wonderful day; in Greece and Turkey the animals just laid down and took a nap wherever no matter how much commotion or foot traffic was around. It is all a matter of 'mind over matter.' Let me know how your time outs go today!!! June

Meandering - here you can see a grape vine that has been trained to grow up to the third story of the apratment house and the people on the third floor were able to harvest the grapes. This was seen over and over again in Greece and Turkey; definitely an interesting picture! So meandering can be productive in many situations!!!!

MONDAY

M - Meandering through another week begins again;
O - Opportunities will come in all shapes and sizes.
N - Now one is faced with decisions -
D - Do I pursue this one or that one or all?
A - As you face the challenges of each day welcome
Y - Your every opportunity as a new blessing gift from God.

A PROMISE OF PEACE

P - Peace I give unto you
R - Rings out for all to hear,
O - Over the speakers and out in the byways,
M - Must one always need reminding?
I - It would seem as if one would carry peace
S - Secured within one's spirit - as a gift from God's Spirit.
E - Everlasting peace is His gift extended to all.

O - Often one finds that the hustle and bustle of life
F - Feigns to be more important than the presence of peace.

P - Peace.....peace....
E - Everlasting peace...
A - Absolute peace......
C - Comforting peace....
E - Eternally yours as a gift from God's hand to you.

This is my gift and encouragement to each of you this season. May you remember that the hustle and bustle of this time of yearis not the real reason - the real reason was the gift of peace given for all mankind. June

This song just fits my mood even though we are having Phx. winter today of liquid sunshine or liquid snow - take your pick!!!!



DECEMBER

D - Days sometimes seem a bit shorter just now;
E - Everyone has so much to do and so many places to go;
C - Can one not have a little more sunshine in the day;
E - Except where would that get anyone; there would always be one more thing to do!
M - May it just be that taking a moment or two -
B - Biding one's time and seeking the guidance of the Spirit;
E - Expectancy would then become properly aligned and one would
R - Roll through the day and the month with blessings too many to number!

I trust that you may find the time to sit a moment or two each day and keep life in proper perspective and truly find blessings untold and unnumbered!!! The pictures are our Phoenix Zoo lights I took a couple of years ago when my mom was with us at Christmas. It is one of our favorite things to take people to this time of year.
