HEART TRANSPLANT PRESCRIPTIONS
Beginning life with a new spiritual heart requires prescriptions,
These will need to be taken daily to give the best quality of life,
This will require a life of discipline and no doubt some changes,
But it will give one the strength and wisdom to live life to the fullest.
First of all one needs to take an anti-coagulant –
This prevents ‘stuff’ from stopping the flow of the Spirit through one’s being,
It requires that one spend time with God in prayer
In order to keep an open relationship with Him at all times.
Second one needs to take an anti-rejection medication –
This will stop one from rejecting this new heart when things get tough,
It will require one to gain greater wisdom from the Scripture
So one will need to spend time reading and learning on a regular basis.
Then there will be a need for an anti-arrhythmia –
This will keep the Spirit flowing evenly instead of on and off,
This requires confession of sin and acceptance of forgiveness
To allow the Spirit full power in one’s being at all times.
And yet another requirement is an anti-hypertensive –
This will keep one from ‘blowing their cool’ or more precisely called
Keeping one’s spirit under control and one great way to do that is to
Stay away from all evil practices, ways and places.
Finally but definitely necessary there is a diuretic –
This is to keep one humble rather than blown up with pride,
This requires serving others freely to flow out of one’s life freely,
Showing the love and mercy of Jesus’ to everyone you meet.
Remember to take all prescriptions daily,
And when you forget take a dose immediately,
This will keep this new heart working effectively and efficiently
So long as life on earth shall last.

THE BEST HEART TRANSPLANT
There is an ache deep within my being –
An emptiness and void way down deep –
It seems as if it would suck all life away –
Making life worthless, useless and not worth living.
God recommends a new heart –
A heart that is brand new –
Cleansed, purified and made completely whole –
One filled with His eternal life-giving Spirit.
But there is a challenge that is presented to change one’s life –
Yielding obediently to God’s plan leaving selfish desires and pride behind –
It will mean a life of spiritual discipline –
It will mean walking and living in a brand new way.
What is one’s response?
Life as it is and always has been still to be?
Or is there willingness to choose this new heart transplant
Giving not only life today but life for eternity?
The choice is made – a new heart is put within –
Now to nurture and care for this new heart must begin –
Daily prescriptions of time spent in God’s presence,
Keeping oneself from places of pollution and distraction.
Exercise daily the habits of prayer and meditation –
Practice the presence of peace, love and hope –
Entertain the Spirit’s presence to accompany you everywhere –
And your new heart will serve you not only here in this world but in the world to come!

A HEART TRANSPLANT
There is a dull ache inside -
That becomes more distressing as time goes one -
It wants to take one's breath away
And render one without life at all.
A doctor recommends a new heart is needed -
But there is risk, there is change involved -
One will need to live a life of discipline and care
To care for this new heart lest it fails.
There is never a doubt within one's mind -
Life must go on and change it will be;'
No matter what it required -
No matter what the change -
No matter what the risks -
You move ahead with the plan.
The new heart is accepted -
Now there is a discipline of exercise, medicine and routine tests -
Yet one never wavers, complains or grumbles -
Because of the opportunity of life that has been gifted by the life of another.

GOD’S CALL FOR NEW BEGINNINGS
A call comes to one and all –
At times it is quiet and other times it is loudly heard –
A listening ear and responding heart
Is what the Lord desires most right from the start.

A call to turn around and begin brand new –
Let go of the past with its ugliness, pain and hurt –
Allow Him to enter into your life
And begin to bring healing and freedom from it all.

A call comes to trust in Him –
Rely on Him completely letting Him have His way –
He will begin a new work within you
When you yield to Him completely with a willing spirit.

A call comes for obedience –
Love and obey God in all you do and say –
Love others around you each and every day –
Happiness and joy is found only in this way.

So stop and take a look around you –
What needs to be left behind for this brand new start?
Now pause another moment and look –
What opportunities or new beginnings are before you at this very moment.

Seize this moment –
And the next –
Savor each one as it comes –
And this way will be the best!
